BOTANICAL ARCHITECTURE

Subterranean Geocarpy & Agronomic Heritage

An agronomically extraordinary legume, Arachis hypogaea exhibits geocarpy: its delicate yellow blossoms self-pollinate above ground, after which flower stems (pegs) elongate and bury themselves in the soil where the edible pods mature subterraneanly. Cultivated across the deep, well-aerated sandy loam plains of southern Chad, northern Nigeria, and Senegal, our groundnuts are naturally nitrogen-fixing, enhancing regional soil fertility while accumulating exceptional mono-unsaturated fatty acid density and high vegetable protein concentrations.
